Sunday Never Hesitates

I know the lyric is "Sunday always comes too late" but I found this one more appropriate. I was gonna throw some photos up from the weekend. Just let me.

We had the Hartsuikers over. The boys played Mario Kart and Laura & I finally found someone who was worse at it than us. Of course they're 2 and 5 but that shouldn't factor in. We ate English muffin pizzas and apple cider donuts. They actually worked well together. Let's do it again soon. Whatcha doing tomorrow?

We settled in for what would be an early evening of Dexter and probably some kale soup when I got a call from my father that my brother had been admitted to the hospital. He had woken up early in the morning with quite a high fever and was not feeling himself. With his history of medical issues it was quickly determined that the ER would be best and off they went. So after calling Melissa we decided our efforts would be best put to use visiting. We had heard he was not doing well and quite out of his mind. I didn't expect much of a visit, but instead got a the full-on 3rd degree about my new car and the status of our debilitated truck and witnessed his classic nurse abuse. So it was safe to say he was feeling better. From what I've heard today his recovery is coming right along, and should be moved out of the ICU soon. It was good to feel like our visit was welcome and we even got to spend a little time with the new nephew Dylan, who Yuula just finds hilarious.

susfishbish

so...I'm bored. I'm at the good ole homegoods trying to do as little as possible. I hate/love working Monday nights. They are really slow. I have been in the office all night. I'm supposed to be training a new kid tonight....his name is Stephano and I'm not sure if he understands English so.....I am just letting him hang out until someone needs a rug. Ha. Maybe I will get "cool" manager points for that. But at the end of the day I just don't care. I want to go home and be with my family. This past weekend spoiled me...I have been at work for 9 hours and I started missing them after the first one.

Anyways. I have been in the office all night eating Marges secret stash of food (she is on vacation this week) I really like the peanut butter filled pretzels :) she will think Willie ate them all...we always blame things on Willie. I guess that's what happens when you are the only male manager and your name is Willie. I call him Willard-he hates that.

So back to the point. I have been playing on my phone- ya know Facebook and whatnot...but I noticed that I now have a Blogger app. and I didn't do it. I have some thoughts as to how it got there....my phone often disappears in the early mornings...

Now if I can figure out how to add a picture that would be a miracle

What Happens At Five Months?

At the pediatricians this morning. The one with the two waiting rooms side by side separated by half a wall and each with its own television playing identical Donald Duck cartoons at a slight delay from each other. It's the personal touches we love. Just the normal five month checkup. The one we heard didn't exist. No shots tho. That's all that matters. We gotta find out what this little cough is all about. I think she's faking.

Not Déjà Vu, But Something

I spent a lot of time here as a kid. I almost forgot til I pulled up on it tonight. It wasn't as colorful then, but neither was I.

Let's Keep The Peace

Yuula was a damn lunatic last night. We got no sleep for the first time since she was born. Not crying really, but just being needy. I think she's missed her mother and was just demanding some quality time. I kept her up most of the day so I think tonight we'll be able to replenish our sleep supply. She's peaceful now. Hopefully it will last. I need rest so I can get up tomorrow morning and dig us out before more snow falls. It's futile.

It's A Cruel Winter

I saw a deer sleeping by himself in our backyard this morning. I thought it was weird but thought maybe he just needed some space from his other deer friends. I went out to start digging a tunnel from our front door into civilization when Laura came out and told me that he was up and about. Kinda. I trudged around the back of the house and saw him standing just a few feet from the tree he slept at, and he saw me. I walked towards him and he didn't move. I got pretty close when he decided to try and run. It was impressive how quickly he was able to move only using three legs, because his back right leg was just dangling like a... well see for yourself.

He let me get pretty close huh!

I called the animal rescue guys. They said they can come out and kill him or we can just leave him, the leg will fall off and the deer will go on. I chose that option. Not feeling very murder-y today.

Sad story this morning. Here are some happy deer to balance it all out.

Zasimo Sees The Light

..and he wants it!!!!

Deep Tickle Torture

She walks the fine line between pain and pleasure.

The Soothing Sounds Of Suction

P1250312

I know it seems like I'm really holding onto this Christmas stuff. I can't help it. It's my favorite time of the year and I have trouble letting it go. But it's let go. The well packed totes are stored 10 miles away, the tree is back in the outdoors and there's not a twinkle to be found.

P1250319

We always think we won't make a mess dragging the tree out but it just seems like those pine needles are jumping from a sinking ship. Our carpet was green temporarily yesterday. Gives us good reason to get between the cracks. There are lots of cracks.

I guess winter cleaning doesn't excite Yuula.

Indoor picnic.

We Steal Grapes/Pest Past Pist

Productive day. Got a lot done at work (til Dave's computer deleted the files) and thanks to Laura the Christmas decor has been completely removed from house. Twenty bucks we find a Santa statue hiding on a shelf sometime in July. We try. Once that girl has a task in mind there's no stopping her. I just hope someday she doesn't decide that she wants me dead. Dark I know. Probably because we've been watching Dexter every night. I think we're seven episodes in. Pretty good stuff. Hooked I think. Something to hold us over til the new season of Weeds comes out. Even tho the opening credits have Laura convinced we've already seen each episode. It just makes me hungry. I bought a few grapefruits today because of it. Also finally convinced Laura to mix up some pesto for dinner. I dropped a hint with a food processor at Christmas. Tonight it paid off. Delicious garlic/basil chicken with whole grain pesto pasta followed by a handful of pistachios. I'm not making that up. Pesto Pasta Pistachio. Totally accidental. Oh yeah and Laura stole grapes too.

Tanenbaum Down

P1250265
Trying to see what she'd look like with red hair.

Mom's home from work today. I imagine there'll be a good sleep-in followed by massive amounts of couch cuddling and floor play. Mother has picked up some gifts for the baby this week too, just a pink tutu and some boo-boo bunnies. I'm sure those will work their way into the fold.

Either way, the tables have turned and we got Yuula 2to1, so she better bring her A-game.

I also know that we are gonna try very hard to take down this Christmas tree. I like to keep it up as long as possible (one year I made it to April) but I think Laura has been lying about watering it because it feels like a porcupine. It's always a sad day when you tear down the holiday decorations, mainly because you gotta find someplace to put them, but every time we take stuff out of this house and free up some space... it's like a home enema.
