Well It's Not My Dream

song of the day

and March ends with a dope video

Home Bads And So Goods

Sometimes Mommy's workplace gets it so right.

Sometimes I change the baby on the furniture because they don't have a changing table in the mens room.

Who Knew There Was A Zoo

For six years we've been driving past a small brown building with a giant snake on it, daily. I was under the impression that it was just some dude with a boa for a pet charging $6.60 or $8.80 to come in a feed it your small children or something.

I wasn't that far off.

 Those may have been statues

This guy says "Look at the bear!"

So we did.

Aesop had a little extra milk left over from lunch

This guy didn't seem interested. In living any longer.

And this little disturbed monkey seemed to sum up the whole collection of screwy little primates that lurk the grounds of this little snake hut.

Hippopinkamus

Hippo milk is pink

And yes Yuula, it tastes like strawberries

They're Moving To The Cape

Ready for company, looking his very best...

It was only after they arrived that we found out it was Fatih's birthday. The cake they brought gave away the surprise.

But they came bearing gifts. Yuula finally found the perfect combination of noise and sparkle to wear around her waist.

they'll be here til Tuesday folks...

Wiped Me Off The Map

song of the day

my latest playlist entitled "Gloaming" has been quite the mood setter come twilight

We Found His Smile Button

We found his smile button, but we need two hands to activate it, so we don't have photographic evidence, yet.

Inventing The Poop Chute

Huula Yuula

They all went out today, groceries, doctors, stuff unknown, but Yuula came home looking like this. I guess she really cannot wait for summer.

And now she's learning to hula dance. Just in time for a big trip to Hawaii?

Fu-Tang Or Wugazi

song of the day

most mashups suck
this does not
right now it's THIS and the Grey Album

Needs Work On The Animal Impressions

No Sheets, Because He Puked

Well, that's two days down, just me and the demon spawn. That would be plural, two demon spawn. We knew it would be an adjustment, emotional for Laura, habitual for me. And momma didn't do me any favors by holding this boy 24/7 since the day he was born. Now if doesn't have flesh touching his flesh he summons all sorts of hells. He's cuddle or nothing.

I must say, day two was vastly superior to day one. He napped like a pro and only threw one tantrum while I was cooking dinner. Maybe he was just pissed that he wasn't going to get any of my perogies.

Tomorrow I get a break....

And A Bag Of Cocaine

song of the day

another one of those albums that would never had had a chance before now...

I am on a hokey streak

Mommy Gotta Go

Laura had to go back to work today. Drama, yes. But she snuck out in the early early morn and left me standing in the bedroom not sure what was going to happen today.

Her cute curl made the whole return to the grind tolerable. It's the little things.

She was missed greatly and came home to some demented form of a toddler pedicure. Yuula used so much lotion that I (and the blankets) got the spill over. I guess it wasn't so bad.

Yuula is gonna be good at chemistry someday

To A Place Beside Me

song of the day

This is Aesop's favorite song #1
He told us so

Nap Around

Erin Go Bragh Beag Déanach

For some reason, holidays don't fall on holidays, so while everyone else in the world has already packed up their greens, we headed out to the St. Patrick's Day Parade, the only way we knew how.

Smart thing to arrive early on Main Street, before they close the roads and while the drunkards are still tolerable. We wandered into a bike shop, mainly because of the sweet tandem in the front window, but when we heard it was a cool $750, we had to make up another excuse to be in there. That's why we have kids. To save us from potential social embarrassments.

The strip was yet to be jumping when we bumped into the Trunks, so we decided to go for lunch, a little off the path, to the Willow Tree.

Holy crap this place was good. Laura ordered the biggest burger I've ever seen and was also done before everyone else. The girls had freedom to roam since everyone was lining up for the parade, and  the feta baked brie was amazing.

We headed over to Main Street and good hour into the procession, but I doubt we really missed anything. For some reason parades have become mostly a bunch octogenarians in sports cars and every emergency vehicle in a 100 square mile radius. Note to self: best time to rob the record store is during a parade.

The girls had a blast, collecting thrown candy, waving to strangers, and getting an early view of the kind of boys we'd like them not to bring home someday.

A Guy-Loving Girl

Drunk In The Shower

This was just added to the list of things to put in to the new bathroom remodel

Did They Even Have Marshmallow Topping?

We finally wandered into the Castle Inn in the Water Gap, after driving by so many times and wondering what the hell was going on in there. It was quite a surprise. A handful of quaint shops selling all sorts of goods, from lovely little toys to vintage kitchen appliances. Also a fairly stocked auction house in the back with some pretty sweet finds for some ridiculous low prices. Makes me curse our square footage.

They also had a cute little ice cream shop, called Zoe's I think. Got word that all the furniture was reclaimed from Tavern on the Green. I was hoping Rick Moranis would bang on the windows before turning into Vinz Clortho, the Keymaster, and summon Gozer with the helo of Zuul, but instead we just got sundaes. Laura got a shake.

Yuula sat by herself at the children's table, which was simultaneously adorable and pathetic, mixed with her inability to eat ice cream without causing a complete disaster area, so I guess it was pretty close to being attacked by a skyscraper-sized marshmallow man.
