A Banner, Novel Banner

I waited til now, this moment, to reflect on 2010. I feel that many people are in a big rush to wrap it all up and put a bow on it way before the paint is dry. No patience. What if a meteor hit Cedar Rapids at 11:57pm on December 31st, would I be the only one including such devastation in my year end summary? I think so. So in 2011, how 'bout a little patience. New rule.

So now the question is posed, what was our 2010. It's a loaded question. It was a novel year for the Estlers of Stroudsburg. A banner year one could say, from an outsiders perspective. It was a year of more vinyl and less nitrates. I've had five different jobs, maybe six. I lost count. We planned a roadtrip, canceled said roadtrip, lost a swimming hole and gained a rock patio. We lost a calico and gained a nephew. We reconnected with some family lost in the mountains. We had our first full-on party at our house and because of that we got our first storage space. We visited Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, New York & New Jersey accordingly. I was on a total of two flights, one round trip. That's an all time low since back in the 90's. We caught up with Weeds, Sunny in Philadelphia & fell for Grindhouse. We had like 13 kittens born and kept three, Zoyla, Roger Dodge & Zasimo, and tho they've all been excommunicated, our daily attendance is somewhere around 8-10 each morning. I don't know. We don't take names. I floated down a river, handled hazardous materials and turned 32. Laura testified on a federal case, fought the man (and won), became comfortable with public nudity and turned 24. We baked a lot of bread.

Who am I kidding? 2010 was about this...
