As The Snow Melts

This was the kind of day where we gave people handfuls of money and came home with less than when we left. We ate a breakfast of minis and was bullied by redneck cat breeders. We calculated our future in wood, stone and lawnchair. Laura made an enemy at the post office while I made nice with a man searching garbage cans for computer parts and dignity. We let a stranger photograph Yuula lying on the floor of a pharmacy. We confused genders. We serenaded downtown sidewalk patrons with the musical stylings of Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock. Right around stop number eight I felt the energy rip from my body like a boned fish. It hurt. When we got home a man sold us chicken in our driveway. It was only 2pm. We should've just gone to bed then. We'll try again tomorrow.
