Heteropoda Davidbowie

David Bowie has been honoured for his musical contribution to the arachnid world, someone taking the less popular half of his infamous Ziggy Stardust album ...and the Spiders From Mars, or maybe it was that '87 Glass Spider Tour, that gave some German spider expert the idea to name a new and already endangered species of spider found in Malaysia after him. But really it's just to raise awareness, since apparently environmental authorities have traditionally proved reluctant to include spiders on lists of endangered animals (kinda can't blame them, they're icky). So as not to undermine nature's genetic diversity, we have this guy, David Bowie the actual spider.

That's more like it.
