After festivals and roadside finds and wandering backroads and evening lawncare we finally sat down when my parents arrived around 8 and had Laura's birthday cake. Even pulled out a tablecloth for the picnic bench outside. Doing it in style.
Angel food cake with cream topping and fresh organic strawberries, not store bought, I made it myself.
