On what may be our last vacation for awhile, we visited Eric in Boston last weekend. He just moved into a new place near Davis Square so we were excited to sleep on a new floor and just hang around with his new roommates.
Eric tries to stay in bed, but is summoned by the call of an 'America's Top Model' marathon
Rest on the porch is interrupted only by the realization of "Hey! We're in Boston! Why are we just sitting on this porch!?"
While I wait, I ponder what ideological effects a program like 'America's Next Top Model' can have on such a vacuous culture of inclusion & exploitation that we allow ourselves to inhabit, & then realize my t-shirt is a little snug.
Influenced by the morning's programming, Eric & Fran strike poses in hopes that they too will be discovered....
...and settle on a Near/Far theme.
We wait for a speeding train to allow us a more windblown look, very popular this season.
For inspiration, I recall my formative years riding the early morning T in the frigid New England winters and have a fleeting & temporary affinity for global warming.
The Fierce & Fuzzy motif came off more Carebear than grizzly.
A silver stallion appears seemingly from thin air, inspiring us to live this day to it's fullest and not bind ourselves with the chains of sorrow and reverie.
Newbury Street brought us the day's slightly breathtaking moment.
A long day deserves a good nap on a busy train.
Travis finally meets a tiny chihuahua that he can get behind.
Eric dons the traditional garb for a New England farewell ceremony.
