Aesop, Meet The Interwebs
Aesop had his first Skype, with his Aunt Danielle. To be clear it was the first Skype that he participated in, and by participated I mean willingly looked at the screen, albeit in vast perplexity and minimal wonder. There were a few awkward pauses, as we are wont to be, even amongst people who have the ability to process thought and retaliate speech with speech and not just sit there like a bobble-head on the brink of a massive nap.

In The Days Of Aquarius
Well, looks like we're gonna make it to February after all. Laura gave it one more go, trying to coax him out at the jump zone, but no dice. A little back pain, but nothing to write home about. Now we just have to hold off for another 12 hours so we can go to Yuula's open house uninterrupted. Nothing like coming into the world with your mother mad at you already. How is it that we barely have two kids and are already experiencing scheduling conflicts?
Oh and Yuula is on skype now, so you all have that nonsense to look forward. Last night I caught my parents watching her eat apples in silence. That can't be what it was intended for, can it?

At Bangkok Thru Canadian Eyes
This morning I got the rare opportunity to see Bangkok. My friends Mike & Andrea (you remember them) are honeymooning there, actually Thailand, but Bangkok is a stepping stone, and they were able to skype with me while they settle in and wait for their flight home. They regaled me with stories of elephant beatings, foot chewing fish and public meltdowns by inebriated locals. Awww wish I could have been there. No really, I wish I could've been there. But I'm sure my expectations of hat-wearing monkeys everywhere stealing your hamburger and small children running wildly about with rikshaws is slightly skewed from the reality.
Or maybe not...
Bangkok {kinda}
