No More Ducking To The Toilet

The day had come, about a year in the making, of the first real construction on the upstairs bathroom, which is going to be great when it's all said and done, but we're just getting started so, give us some time....

Thanks Ed. Even tho I'd love to see what we would've come up with without your professional guidance, I'm glad we didn't

peek-a-bob

this was my highlight of the day

framing started

both girls had boogers

I actually got up on a ladder and swung a hammer, and pretty effectively

thanks Dad

Toy Of The Day: Rope

My day started with Torrie calling me over to jumpstart his car. No problem. Except when I got over to his place there were three cars in the driveway. Apparently they were all dead. As were his neighbors. Must have been a UFO. Weird.

And Yuula played with a rope all day.

He Could Be Anywhere Now

So Rick was our guest for a few days this week. He was taking a day or so to decompress, but the woods were either that good or he has a fear of bears, because he's back out on the road again. He just can't wait to be on the road again.

Yuula put him right to work, as she's known to do

He wanted to see waterfalls, so I did the best I could

Yuula is always up for a nice hike in the woods...

As long as she's wearing the proper shoes

Torrie showed us a few more nature spots, til it opened up and rained on us

The the next morning at breakfast Rick and Yuula traded portraits of each other. I'm not sure whose is better.

Should see Rick in GA next week, if he's not still wandering the country...

New Lunch Venue

Today was dull.

But yesterday! All my troubles seemed so far away. jk - I decided to make the most of my lunch hour. See, it takes me 3.78 minutes to eat my lunch. On the average it takes Yuula 1 hour and 9 minutes. It's absurd. So I took her outside to eat yesterday while I finished up some raking.

It worked pretty well.

Torrie showed up and Yuula showed "her" all the "elephants" and "giraffes" she "found" in the "jungle".

Plus Judee likes being outside as much as possible because she thinks that, one day, she will catch one of these cats.
