The Kelly's Make Us Hungry

Just as we pulled ourselves from the white sandy beaches of Assateague we saw the Kelly's trailer pull up to our site. Good timing. Plus we were all straving. Even better timing. Barb found a nice little place called The Shrimp Boat, which was actually a boat and had actual shrimp.

We hit the boards on Ocean City

The decision to get ice cream was easy. Which ice cream stand to get it was hard.

Most of Yuula's cone ended up in her lap. All of Laura's cone ended up in her lap.

Shopping at the local produce stand for some fixins

It was all about the food, apparently.

When we got back to the site Yuula was worn out completely from the whole week. She had a yogurt and passed out.

That gave the adults time to talk and have a drink or two

It was a nice relaxing evening, perfect to end out the vacation, nice breeze coming off the ocean, warm fire to heat our toes, and minimal sand in our crevasses.

Fries For Lunch, Nets For Birds

So we left the campsite for lunch. Then there was a shark!

That's as close as she'd let us get her.

We heard about some world famous fries in Ocean City. We ordered a large. We got a humongous. It was all we had for lunch. We are on vacation. 

Yuula was all about the boardwalk.

They have some lovely beaches and pretty nice playgrounds right out on the sands.

Then it was back onto the boards to run into unsuspecting elderly folks.

We stopped at a souvenir gift shop but all Yuula wanted was this net.

She said she wanted to catch birds.

Who am I to say no?

Exhausting The Vacation

Girl has really outdone herself today. Running the sand. Jumping the waves. Climbing the slides. Sprinting the boards. Netting the birds. Swelling the wrist. Thrashing the fries. Catching the dog.
