Balance The Baby

Aesop was a good few months from looking at being upright, but that didn't stop us from playing 'Balance the Baby' in the yard a while back. 

He enjoyed it, to a certain point.

He was so proud of himself on this shot.

And then he felt much better when his sister let him use her as a crutch.

Inspiring Hurried Verticality

Dani & Vic stayed over last night before returning to Chicago and were lucky enough to inspire some late night attempts at moving upright by little monkey Yuula. I don't know if she was trying to show off or genuinely wanted a sip of Dani's Disaronno. There's a good 5 stepper between me and Danielle and an unexpected 4 step number between mommy and the recliner. She got excited and tried to skip walking altogether and go right to running but mostly it was as Vic said, falling further everytime.

Ottoman Assisted

This here is some footage of Yuula practicing her uprightedness. She relies heavily on the ottoman, as you can see, and never gets more than a step away before stumbling. She does mix it up a bit adding props like a remote or Gareth the monkey to better hone her multitasking.



And no I am not watching a porno from 1:24 to 1:34. That there is some good ol' It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, the episode where they make Lethal Weapon 5, Mac & Dennis switch lead roles halfway thru and they argue over the proper way to act blackface. Classic.
