Delicious Genderosity

(from August 16th)

That's my old friend Donald. He wrote and performed a show in NYC in August. We bought tickets because we will find every excuse to spend a night in the city.

That's Elvis. I didn't know him.

We got in to the city a little late and had little time to eat dinner before curtain. About 30 minutes to order, eat and dash a few blocks to the theater. MasalaWala was the answer. Holy crap I don't know that I've ever had more exotic tasting food. Look at that cauliflower.

Being short on time did not keep us from downing an entire bottle of wine either.

She Making Romance Happen

Laura, my wife, surprised me with a love day last week. That is a day of love. And not child love. Husband/wife love. No kids. We left them at home with the dog. We had a lovely day. It really couldn't have been better. Do it again.

We celebrated 8 years since I asked her for her.

Laura left me for this lady...

...and left me with this one.

Warm Enough To Walk

Oh my that was the most manic walk around the block I've ever seen. She has truly been cooped up and today she was released into the wild. Good thing no one got in her way. It could have gotten ugly.

And the two buck chuck came along with us, but he didn't come back.

Mean, Brave & Honey Happy

Well that was a frigin Monday. You name it. Today had it. I went to Houston. Only on Google street view. Sent Tom photo evidence that I found his his house and instantly realized he'd think I was really there and that I was unintentionally playing a mean joke even tho I was just playing with technology. Technology makes me mean.

At one point today I had someone seriously ask me to help them commit tax fraud. I said I would, having no intention to even try and decipher what they were truly asking me to do. Taxes make me brave.

Yuula danced as a bumblebee tonight. It's a rare but welcome persona. She buzzes and all. She was turn happy. Sometimes you can't stop her. Mot of the time we don't want to anyway.  Bees make us honey.

Laura had a Monday too, I think. Considering how I was handed a large glass of wine at dinner, only so she didn't have to drink alone... Wine makes us happy.

She's Become What She Covets

Last night the Trunks came over for what now apparently is a holiday tradition, gifts, wellington, and wine. They got Yuula a her-size Minnie Mouse outfit. You can imagine how that went over. She took to it like a fish and even slipped into the heels and accessories that we got for Isabella and began parading around the house. Isabella fell asleep on the couch around 9pm. Yuula was literally whirlygigging around the house still at midnight. Must've been that cookie or 12 that she ate.

Good times Trunks. Enjoy your popcorn.

The Kelly's Make Us Hungry

DSC_0105
our new site on the beach

Just as we pulled ourselves from the white sandy beaches of Assateague we saw the Kelly's trailer pull up to our site. Good timing. Plus we were all straving. Even better timing. Barb found a nice little place called The Shrimp Boat, which was actually a boat and had actual shrimp.

The decision to get ice cream was easy. Which ice cream stand to get it was hard.

Most of Yuula's cone ended up in her lap. All of Laura's cone ended up in her lap.

Shopping at the local produce stand for some fixins

It was all about the food, apparently.

When we got back to the site Yuula was worn out completely from the whole week. She had a yogurt and passed out.

That gave the adults time to talk and have a drink or two

It was a nice relaxing evening, perfect to end out the vacation, nice breeze coming off the ocean, warm fire to heat our toes, and minimal sand in our crevasses.
