The Dance Class Blues

Yuula had to dress up for dance class Saturday. Surprise Surprise, she wanted to be Minnie Mouse. Good thing we have 8 dresses.

I had my first taste of Mom&Pop-arazzi after they let loose the gallery on the unsuspecting children. I wasn't prepared to wrestle for the front row or was I willing to add to the "Look here!"s, so this is the best I got.

And Yuula carries a blues harp in her dance bag

She decided one Minnie per shirt was not nearly enough

This is the kind of crap that's all over my house...

Look how happy it makes my wife.

She's Become What She Covets

Last night the Trunks came over for what now apparently is a holiday tradition, gifts, wellington, and wine. They got Yuula a her-size Minnie Mouse outfit. You can imagine how that went over. She took to it like a fish and even slipped into the heels and accessories that we got for Isabella and began parading around the house. Isabella fell asleep on the couch around 9pm. Yuula was literally whirlygigging around the house still at midnight. Must've been that cookie or 12 that she ate.

Good times Trunks. Enjoy your popcorn.

Discovering The Disneys

C360_2012-08-15-17-36-26

We went out last night in search of Yuula's birthday gift, having no plan or idea or even a genre to focus on. Stuffed animals, dolls, games, toys, should we just buy her used car and be done with it? The hunt was on.

We hit the mall, begrudgingly, and one of the things she got excited about was the Disney Store. I don't think she's ever been, but she has been replacing some of her previously scheduled Caillou time with that hotdog dance show. So I think she may be moving on. Although she does still point to the television and call it "Caillou Mickey Mouse".

We wandered over to Toys 'R' Us. She picks up souvenirs everywhere she goes. She had the whole store thinking it was raining outside. I hear umbrella sales there went thru the roof. But she knows her way around that place somehow. She was even mistaken as an employee a couple times.

We did come across some good gift ideas, and made out with a few classic nuggets. We were stealthy tho. She don't know nothing, and hopefully she digs them. Time will tell. But we couldn't make it out without that umbrella, rain or no.
