Well Stuck In The Mud

After the turkey was placed in the oven we all felt safe to head out and explore the town of Sandwich. Chilly temps kept us in the car most of the time but we definitely wanted to get out on the boards and check out the low tide. Yuula of course got right in the water and even got her boots well stuck in the mud. We also hit the Grist Mill for a couple group shots.

Turkey In Sandwich

View from the backyard, Eric & Fatih;s new place. Quite cute. Already planning a go-back.

With so much to keep track of, it's easy to mistake the baby for the turkey.

Here was the hideous turkey cake we brought. I was only slightly offended they couldn't work it into the centerpiece.

The turkey butter was of course the feature dish.

Eric & Fatih added a little style with photo placecards.

Yuula's was too cool.

I looked like I might be ready to do some damage.

Eric and Fatih did a great job, and Laura and I really enjoyed doing next to nothing for Thanksgiving. Thanks boys!

Kick Back And Congratulate

We decided to brave the elements and drive thru the Nor'easter day before Thanksgiving. Had to make it to Eric & Fatih's new place up in Sandwich. If there's a town in the world that's fit for Thanksgiving, it's Sandwich. Or at least the leftovers.

The storm wasn't so bad once we crossed over the Tappan Zee. Good thing Yuula constructed a phone out of fast food happy meal toys, just in case we had a blow out.

After a drive that took twice as long as expected why not unwind with some candlepin and pizza. Indeed.

Yuula was surprisingly good. I was expectedly bad.

They didn;t have shoes that fit the boy so Yuula had to hold him.

By the end Yuula was taking everyone's turns and we were just kicking back and congratulating her.

Whales were an obvious theme for the bowling alley.

Let's Get Gross

We're yet to figure out how to appropriately celebrate our anniversary. Copper was the theme, copper and wool but Laura is allergic to wool, so we got this rain catcher chime thing we wanted to hang outside and is made of copper. And then we took the boys to some country diner and ate a whole lotta breakfast stuffs.
