Another Lens To Tend To
Yuula got a camera for Christmas. She got right to it. Got about 100 shots already. About half are black or mostly of her index finger. It takes time. I still do that on occasion. Here are some choice shots from her first collection entitled"First Collection".

Even Leave The Green Guys
You can have your Giada and Guy Ferrari and Paula Dean. I will take these little videos made by Sigur Rós leader Jonsi and his boyfriend Alex.
Check out that blender!
Check out their website where you can see them make more food, like Nammi Nammi, and download their charming little recipe book.
This is gonna be a good summer.

Unsure About The Centrifugals
We met up with the grandparents around 11 and despite the growing humidity and heat and a sleepy baby we hit the Point Pleasant, and tried to spark a little life into Yuula with a nice bowl of ice cream.
It kind of worked.
Then we dragged her over to the rides to see if we could scar her for life a little.
The first attempt was the merry-go-round, but just the bench.
She was horrified but managed to crack a little smile each time we circled around to the familiar old people shouting her name.
Then it was time for a train ride.
Still not crazy about it but maybe it was because of the creepy lifeless penguin that was hitching a ride.
The most successful go around was surprisingly the flying elephants.
She actually cracked a few smiles and maybe even laughed once or twice.
When the elephants came to a halt she yelled 'more!' so we thought we'd give the merry-go-round another go round but this time on horseback.
She was suspect but she survived.
A near catastrophe was averted when I was able to rescue bunny from certain death...
or at least sandy fur.
Grandma and Grandpa took the reigns and we held back for a little breather.
And what better way to finish off a day on the boardwalk than some topless dining.
Everyone else seemed to be doing it.

Beat The Sun To Beach
Wednesdays are our weekend. This one was a beach weekend. And an early one at that. Our bare toes hit the beach at 5:41am. How do I know it was 5:41am?
Because we had two minutes before sunrise. And it was a doozie.
Yuula was unsure of the sand in her toes at first, but she came around.
Then she found a "monster" (her new favorite word).
We stuck our toes in the chilly waves.
Laura held the sun in her hand.
I ate it.
Even bunny got in on the action.
Then a few sweet shots...
And of course I had to throw her skyward.
Yuula liked the beach...
but was ready to move on.
