Aesop Is One!
It's the birthday boy!
He woke up happy, even tho he has no idea
One year old, and so much wiser
He'll always have snow on the ground on his birthday
Baby birthday boy blueberry bench. Booger.
This was when he got run over by his sister on his first birthday
If ever there was a perfect first birthday cupcake... this was gone too fast to acknowledge it.
Making up for a year with hardly enough sugar
Doing his best yellow smiley face
The most expensive cake we've ever eaten
and he smashes it
He's done. He may not make it to two.

They're Moving To The Cape
Ready for company, looking his very best...
It was only after they arrived that we found out it was Fatih's birthday. The cake they brought gave away the surprise.
But they came bearing gifts. Yuula finally found the perfect combination of noise and sparkle to wear around her waist.
they'll be here til Tuesday folks...

Getting Goods Away From Home
Weird day. Two year old birthday party, complete with Foo Fighters soundtrack and Yuula got cake AND a cupcake, of which she ate neither. Laura's boss's daughter turned two and she likes Hello Kitty. The girls had a lot to talk about.
Then we met more Home Goods people at a pizza joint by the university. Yuula stole their spaghetti and ate none of it.
Aesop was intrigued with the pizzerias choice of lighting. I don't think he blinked for 45 minutes.

Birthday Maniac
Dylan had his third birthday party on Saturday. That boy is insane. It makes me rethink all the boy v. girl warnings I've had tossed my way the past couple weeks, but just a little. Besides, I still have Judee's old chain that we used to tie her up in the backyard with...

Celebrating The Mighty Brustakdemir
The after party got started promptly. Papagayo had some delicious drinks called Coronaritas and some amazing guacamole that they literally make in your mouth.
I stole some.
The cake was summarily cut.
Then this happened.
As the gang shrunk in size we got a little looser and ended up at a candlepin bowling alley, walking distance from the boys' apartment.
I loved it and now I want one.
Yuula had a blast, and I think everyone had a blast watching her unwittingly school pretty much the entire place in how you candlepin bowl like a beast. Whatcha gonna do?

Preparing For The Mighty Brustakdemir
BOOM!
That's my boys right there. That's why we came up. Time to do some serious matrimony up in Beantown.
(that was weird)
Sorry. I was excited for my buddy Eric. And how else to kick it off than getting some cake.
Whoops!
Fixed it. Onwards.
Thanks SCOTUS
I got many many photos from that weekend so I will drag this out into the weekend probably. Stayed tuned.

A Saturday Full Of Pumpkin And Pride
Got a jump on our pumpkins early this year, and where else but the lovely and wonderful Ross & Ross nursery (tell your friends). This was like last Saturday, and I'm just remembering now. Blurry.
Yuula picked out a nice white pumpkin only to have it eaten by Judee a few days later. So we went back and got her another one and have it stored up high for the rest of the month.
She was quite fond of this little guy and even used it for her show and tell at dance class that day. I'm sure it was a hit.
A dance class that we finally got to watch on television. I was rather impressed. Full stretches, across the floors and some combinations. All we could get out of Yuula was that they gave out lollipops at the end. I circled her in pink.
After class it was straight off to Boston, and what a lovely drive. The only thing that could have made it better was if I could have gotten into Holy Land. Check it out.
But we did have like 6 bags of these little nuggets to hold us over. Come to think of it I think half of the food I ingested that weekend was soft licorice.
First stop: the Fallons, where we hung out with Miles and Isla until they both passed out, I'm assuming from extreme exhaustion. But naturally no such luck with Yuula. She was holding out for the party to get going.
Miles and Yuula's contribution to Eric's train drawing.
The real reason we were there.
Line of the evening: "It's an Elton John book, because you're gay."
