The Picnic That Never Was

We packed for a picnic, but never quite got there.

Found fun along the way

Ended up at Dansbury pool, which might as well have been closed

Huge pool all to ourselves

So we took it

We celebrated our disappointment with Thai food

and ice cream

We Will Fall Down Snowy Hills

Get in the car, we're going sledding

Laura gets off easy, this year

Yuula took the brunt of this slope

 She loved it

Can't keep her out of the snow

Climbing even higher

Where's your sled?

How she looks at the top

How she looked at the bottom

I think everyone had fun. Next year, even higher.

Spring's Park And Purge

Another Unremarkable one for the books, but yesterday was more interesting. I spent the entire day cleaning out the tool shed, for the 4th year in a row. Let's see if this one sticks. With Laura's help I was able to get further alone into some sense of "organization" this year, so there is hope. The most satisfying part of the day came when waste management showed up on schedule and I threw out 15 bags of refuse, along with every old composite shelf I could find on the property. Purged.

After breakfast Laura took the child to meet the Trunks at the park. So I'm sure that was fun. I live through the photos, just like everyone else.

Slides are fun.

Like Rollerskating, But With Colder Toes

it snowed

We decided to take the girls sledding yesterday in lieu of rollerskating, especially since the rink was closed due to "inclement weather"

these are the girls I'm talking about

The hardest part of sledding is climbing back up the hill

Isabella wasn't buying it

The most humorous part of the day was when we had to form a human chain to get Dunja back up the hill

Then the girls got tired and wanted to swing

PS - sled video coming soon

Avoid Frustration And Frostbite

Surviving Sandy: Day Five

This was the day we woke up and just got out of the house. Slight frustration and frostbite was setting in but outside was considerably more mild than the past couple of days sooooooo park time!

This slide may have been a little out of her league

This is not a very entertaining race

 Now we're getting somewhere

This is a whole new kind of slide for this girl

Throw in a little Mediterranean see-saw

Roundabout with the big girls and hanging in there too

After the park we headed over to the outlets, which is usually a pretty depressing place. Saw some pretty suite outdoor speakers from the Bose store tho. Now I just need and extra $450.  And Yuula got a free balloon from Hartstrings.

We made an impulsive appointment with our dealership to have our oil changed and tires rotated. Hey it was free, warm and free wifi. Don't judge. Plus Yuula made a new puppy friend and they had staring contests.

Oh, and Yuula got her second free balloon of the day

Why not try for pizza for dinner again tonight, but real pizza please. We actually took the time (because that's all we had) to try and find a legit pizzeria, the best in town, and I really think we did. My mother is watering now just thinking of the delicious sausage and pepper masterpiece that was served to us that night at Pizzaro's. Plus, they had photo hunt!

Thank you Mommy. I love Pizzaro's!

On this night the film choice was The Dictator because it was the only comedy that did not star Adam Sandler of have Madea in the title. But I'm afraid it sucked just as well.
