Out with the girls this morning, plus two. Dunja & Isabella met us at hickory Valley for some pre-dance chow. They serve up breakfast in frying pans!

And the most amazing french toast and blueberry pancakes we've had in some time.

Sledding The Hills Of Dansbury

Like Rollerskating, But With Colder Toes

We decided to take the girls sledding yesterday in lieu of rollerskating, especially since the rink was closed due to "inclement weather"

The most humorous part of the day was when we had to form a human chain to get Dunja back up the hill

A Deck For Organized Sports

We went to the Trunks for dinner last night so we could check out their new enormous deck

the girls already deemed it a dance floor

Isobella went to bed on time and Yuula stayed up all night, as usual. They better figure it out in time for sleepovers.

Keeping Tabs On The Girl

While we hobnobbed in SoHo our good buddy the Trunks kept watch over Yuula sending photographic evidence that she was in fact still alive and well without the assistance of her loving parents. Here's some of the highlights.

Yuula is a great aid in running errands. That is to say, she fits nicely in her carseat.

They found an optimal spot for a strawberry break.

Practicing a concerto they've been working on for a few months now. Debut performances are set for July 15th, 2024.

I'm pretty sure the idea here was for Yuula to take a nap and not Dunja's sister Katie.

Yuula continues the practice of teaching Isabella horrible table manners.

And around 11pm, she was done.

Festive Foods And Christmas Cackles

Trunks came over last night for some festive foods and Christmas cackles. The girls haven't seen each other since Halloween, but they picked up right where they left off.



Laura & I threw together a tasty little meal of an Estler classic with some roasted red potatoes, cornbread and the tastiest salad yet. It went over well, considering we filled up on puppy chow before hand and still managed to eat 95% of the real meal.




The girls exchanged gifts. Yuula got Isabella a stroller for her dollies and a sweet little blue hoodie to match one she herself is getting for Christmas but doesn't know yet. Yuula got an awesome fairy tutu, wings and a love-wand. It is her new dance outfit. Video will follow in the days to come.



Throughout the evening we discussed what would be the best gift we could give our significant others and we came up with a few good ideas...
