All Emergent

The day started off fairly intense, with a little 911 action on my behalf for the little lady in our life. Long story short, she's fine, 100%, but has some serious work to do to get rid of some thick flem that had her all choked up right out of bed this morning. A Cold. The End.

But then we got this little project moving. I think it may actually happen this time.

Aesop is not as convinced

Then I ended the day dropping my delicious dinner. I did not call 911.

Reviewing Daily Ridiculous

she will talk to you on the phone, but she'll probably lie

she likes football but thinks they are "too fast" and look "soft"

she uses a British accent when she asks for yogurt

she thought new batteries would fix the van's broken fuel door

her new favorite word is "delicious" and she uses it very generously

she takes personal responsibility for any and every thing that ever happens with an exuberant "I did it!"

she thinks olives are pickles but pickles are not olives

she goes thru her mother's jewelry on a daily basis, and Laura has no idea

Salt In The Creamy

C360_2012-05-02-13-24-02

Yuula likes to put pretzels and goldfish in her yogurt now. I prefer granola or fresh fruit but like I said, the girl's an innovator.

You got a problem with that?

Completely Catchup

I was absent for a couple days there. My dad yelled at me. I swear that I sometimes forget that people might read this drivel. But we had some photos to show. These were the random leftovers.

The Ghost Of Jack LaLane

1297517251770

That's an actual photo from our kitchen counter this morning. I don't know what came over me, but we've a bunch of kale left over from a soup Laura made just stirring in the refrigerator fresher, and I been wondering what to do with it. Upon daily browsing of the interwebs I came across a kale smoothie recipe. I barely glanced at the ingredients but thought, "I got some fruits and vegetables just laying around. How bad could it be?".

Now before you say "Uh Oh" let me say that it wasn't bad at all. Pretty delicious actually and while I don't think is the beginning of an alternate lifestyle for us full of supplements and egg whites, I am gonna keep this in mind. We had banana, carrots, grapefruit, yogurt, kale, avocado, coconut and a little orange juice. Then we argued over whether to use the blender or the food processor to smoothify them all. Maybe we just need a juicer. I think I will add eggs next time.

Now I just need to figure out how to utilize the rest of this coconut. I don't even know how a coconut got in the house. I smashed it on a rock this morning like a monkey. Highlight.

Glad She Went The Glazed Stick

IMAG0640

Odd day. Oddly pleasant. I ate a crazy juicy pear. It was like biting a water balloon, filled with pear juice. I bid on the season 3 Weeds DVD from a toilet in a steel factory and won it on a sidewalk in front of a hair salon. $6.20. Bent a sign. Went out to Perth Amboy. Galvanizer. They got their act together. Made time for coffee & a donut with the little woman. She ain't so little anymore, but not for long. We lost the daybed in Bridgewater, but found another one just as good and half the price around the corner of the Blue Mountains. Friday folks. Pending inspection. I don't care for days where she closes. I find it pointless to make any kind of supper. Tonight was a blueberry yogurt and a flavor stick. Purple. We gotta eat them sometime. Wasn't so bad.

Having The Best Day Ever?

So I'm 32. Feels the same as 31. Feels the same as 27 really. Maybe a little less vigor. But just a little. I got about 200 messages from people online to have a happy birthday and wishing that I'd have the best day ever. That's a lot to live up to folks. It rained all day so we stayed in. French toast for breakfast. Yogurt with fresh blueberries & granola for lunch. Then we paid off a few credit cards, which felt great. After that we turned to the Babies R Us website to start filling out a registry for the upcoming showers that will undoubtedly occur within the next couple months. Mark your calendars. No specific date yet. Just mark them. Little music, little movie, little cat nap and you got yourself an award winning birth day.

Tonight? Tonight I will take a hot shower, turn on the baseball game, and Laura is cooking me beef wellington & bought me some bottles of root beer and orange cream soda. For dessert, well, if you don't know what I'm having for dessert, you just don't know me at all now do you?
