Lending A Ride And Some Fries

Went out to Scranton with Suzie on Wednesday to visit Eileen. I think we gave her some peace of mind, or at least some company. Things are stabilized(ing) so the mood was lite. We didn't get in to see Eileen, but hopefully she could hear Yuula giggling from the waiting room.

Next time.

And there will be a next time, because the hospital gift shop is the only place to get this little gem.

Zingiber Rooibos

I am having a love affair with my newest loose tea, some kind of java mocha chocolate coffee something er'other, but I'm running a little low. I learned last time I was at Teavana that I could order refills thru the mail, so I checked out their website last night and found this beaute...

Check out the description:

"Set sail for a sensuous exotic journey to India (thank you I will). This Ayurvedic red rooibos wonder has a ginger, toasted coconut and black pepper zest smoothed over with the sweetness of cinnamon, golden delicious apple and almond. A sensually sublime and luxurious voyage of deliciousness. Contains nuts"

Uhm, how many tons can I order?

Thermometer Versus Coconut

DSC_0033

I was trying to milk a coconut this morning and used Laura's meat thermometer to poke thru the soft eye of the beast. Then I tried to widen the hole and I broke the thermometer, about 35 seconds after she said "you better not break my meat thermometer". Whoops. That's what I said. But she got me back because once she found out that I don't condition my hair in the shower she bought me Suave Men's 2-in-1 with shampoo plus conditioner. Now I have no choice but to condition. I just won't enjoy it.

It's So Easy When You Know How

That is a lyric that is on a commercial right now. That's all.

The Ghost Of Jack LaLane

1297517251770

That's an actual photo from our kitchen counter this morning. I don't know what came over me, but we've a bunch of kale left over from a soup Laura made just stirring in the refrigerator fresher, and I been wondering what to do with it. Upon daily browsing of the interwebs I came across a kale smoothie recipe. I barely glanced at the ingredients but thought, "I got some fruits and vegetables just laying around. How bad could it be?".

Now before you say "Uh Oh" let me say that it wasn't bad at all. Pretty delicious actually and while I don't think is the beginning of an alternate lifestyle for us full of supplements and egg whites, I am gonna keep this in mind. We had banana, carrots, grapefruit, yogurt, kale, avocado, coconut and a little orange juice. Then we argued over whether to use the blender or the food processor to smoothify them all. Maybe we just need a juicer. I think I will add eggs next time.

Now I just need to figure out how to utilize the rest of this coconut. I don't even know how a coconut got in the house. I smashed it on a rock this morning like a monkey. Highlight.
