A Brief Lull In The Month Of May
Today was rather uneventful. After we got the Krupps on the road and got mother off to work, Yuula settled in for one of her 3 viewings of Cinderella today and i went upstairs to tie up some loose ends for SSI, hopefully for the weekend. I gotta admit, it was nice not to be on 24/7 Yuula watch, and even tho all I did all week was work, it was still like a sort of vacation. But I missed her. She missed me. She told me so today. Then we both fell asleep to Cinderella. Shut up.
Decided to greet Laura in the driveway. Had to start talking about M-Day plans, since it's the day after tomorrow and we have no idea really what's going on. I think I'll drive her in tomorrow and spend the day wandering around town, in part to get out of the house, in part to get supplies.
And more beer.

Weird With A Beard
This is what I saw all day today. Just weirdness. And no nap. That may be a first, but it's getting to the point where I don't really know. And no lunch. I forgot. She usually reminds me but we did kind of have a late breakfast and then a nice big fruit smoothie so maybe she was full. I don't know it's been a weird day. And my beard's been real itchy even tho I just took a shower. May be time to trim. {ugh}
But I did find out that my good ol' friends Mike & Andrea are expecting, in September. That's gonna light a fire under my wife, or add to the fire that's probably already there. I hope we can make it up to Canada to see her big belly or how about after he/she is born and Yuula can get some baby action. Could be cute. Will be.
I still like these grid photo. I did some more today.

Learning To Mix And Hide
Two big milestones today...
She learned to add her own ingredients to a smoothie. Proper ingredients do not include beaded necklaces, teabags or the phone.
She also learned to hide, or maybe she just likes the feel of the felty interior lining against her baby soft skin.
Either way, I smell a prank pulled on Mommy in the very near future.

The Days Are Higher
I made a nice transition towards comfort in the new office space today. It is a whole new world up here, for myself and Yuula. Now instead of having a free for all in the living room she has fulltime access to her own bedroom, plus ours, which really is a better deal if you ask me. Plus I know she won't be getting into food, fire, or the like. So there's that. I did try and leave her down in the living room yesterday while I worked upstairs but that lasted about 8 minutes when I heard what sounded like this...
So that was the end of that experiment. But she likes the change so far. There's still a TV if she wants to watch some Sprout, and there's all new toys and books in her room, so it's kinda like Christmas. Plus she really likes her duck bath, even when it's not bath time.
To play in...
To watch TV in...
Or to take a nap in.
But finally today we did use it for what it was intended for. Bath time,
which she just doesn't get enough of. And it does lower her energy level a notch or two, so it's a little easier to transition to bedtime. I thought I'd put the nail in the coffin with a little Pajanimals sleepy time show but those fools were having a party, singing and splashing and taking rocketships into outerspace. I'm trying to put a baby to bed here Jim Henson. Pull it together please.

Fruit Sandwiches & Ham Smoothies
Since Yuula did so well with her taco the other day I thought I'd try a sandwich. Ham, cheese and mustard between two pieces of bread and there was no disassembling and nothing hit the floor. What a sandwich head! Good thing I made some smoothies to wash it down. I think we found a new favorite lunch.

It's So Easy When You Know How
That is a lyric that is on a commercial right now. That's all.

On a smoothie kick the past couple mornings. Delicious.

Broke my phone, so, gotta wait til I can get an upgrade in mid-September. Don't call me.

Here's Yuula watching So You Think You Can Dance. She thought Sasha was gonna get sent home. Oh well.

Rock It Does Not
Still going thru photos from last weekend, which seems like a year ago already. Here's some from Cleveland, a city we may have to try again some time because in the short time we spent on the streets, all we took away is that it sucks pretty hard.
