We realized just recently that we do not have the appropriate attire required for the Krupp seasonal photo session, so a late night jaunt to the market side of town was inevitable. We hit the Target and were able to use a lost gift card, only to find it afterward. Yuula ran amok thru TJ Maxx, where I found the yearly cardigan. Then to the Stroud mall where I swear we were the only customers on the grounds. Kind of creepy. But Yuula got a balloon from Sbarro, a coloring book from Santa and her fair share of baby flings. Kind of nice

Too Early To Tree
A sky to hunt trees under if I ever saw one.
Against my better judgement we headed out late this afternoon to hunt for this years Christmas tree. It's still November but given our upcoming travel, busy December and bad luck with off-day weather forecast we decided to take advantage when advantage was high. It was Yuula's first tree hunt, as she came with us on last years but mainly slept against mother's chest. There's no hunt in that.
Yuula hit the ground running
Look it's Laura & Yuula
So many to choose from
How many can we get?

When Mommy & Daddy Are Away
Atta girl.

Danielle & Vic brought her back up last night and she didn't seem as happy to see us as we were to see her, but... there may have been some foulplay.

Thought About Then Didn't
Well I've squandered this day away. Watched some news, a couple movies, pulled the guitars down to restring them but didn't. Squandered. I ate 4 burritos. Thought about moving the computer and then didn't. Oh boy. Thought about reading a good book. Then didn't. Now waiting for Laura to get home, hour later than normal due to this black Friday business. She'll probably want to go right to bed. No baby tonight. No night night. Just night.
Abandoned By The Bunches
Laura's left for work. Danielle & Vic have headed down to Ro's for their Thanksgiving dinner. My parents left for home about an hour ago and they took Yuula with them.
I don't know what the hell to do with myself.
It hasn't been that long since I've had some me-time. How is it that I forget how to do it. So far I've gone down to check the mail (nuthin), took a walk around the yard, eaten about 20 chocolate riesens and watched an interview with Regis Philbin. I'm positive there's a million things I should be doing but I won't think of them til Yuula comes back home tomorrow afternoon.
Any suggestions?

Why I'm Glad To Be The One At Home
A mother of three shot pepper spray to keep shoppers from grabbing a video game system she wanted during a Black Friday sale, leaving 20 people with minor injuries, authorities said.
The incident occurred shortly after 10:20 p.m. Thursday in a crowded Los Angeles-area Walmart as shoppers hungry for deals were let inside the store.
Police said the suspect shot the pepper spray when the coverings over the item she wanted were removed.
"Somehow she was trying to use it to gain an upper hand," police Lt. Abel Parga told The Associated Press early Friday.
He said she was apparently after an Xbox 360 and used the pepper spray to keep other shoppers at bay.
Officials said 20 people suffered minor injuries. Fire department spokesman Shawn Lenske said the injuries to least 10 of them were due to " rapid crowd movement."
Parga said police were still looking for the woman who was with her children at the time and reviewing surveillance video of the incident.
The store remained open and those not affected by the pepper spray continued shopping.
Just Folks Giving Thanks
I could tell stories about yesterdays Thanksgiving ongoings but it's still all a little fuzzy. Most of the day was spent noshing on foods and watching football, and then there was the glorious feast and the wine floweth. It all went too fast, but isn't that always the way. We did decide sometime late in the evening, that we are going to invent our own holiday, somewhere in the deads of summer, a la Festivus, so we can do this all again before next November. That's gotta be a good sign, right?

Arts & Crafts Unsupervised
Aye aye aye. It is Thanksgiving. I can't get in the swing of things yet. Even watched 85% of the Macy's parade, ate some zucchini bread and peanut butter celery and even watched the bird prep and I still can't get with the program. What is it about these holidays that I can't convince my body to wake up for? Could be all the arts & crafts i drank last night. Or the ginger brandy. Either way, I hope I'm ready in time for the big show.
Here's last night...

First Time For Everythings
I'm watching the Giants/Eagles game. They stopped Desean Jackson on a punt return. First time for everything. Yuula has decided that tonite is the night she learns how to resist bedtime. First time for every... We had eggs for dinner. We never have eggs for dinner unless it's pad Thai. First time for... We are really enjoying this new ginger brandy business. First time... Laura is in the kitchen pickling her tongue. First...
