The Flake Is Strong With This One

I know, I know. Christmas Eve is no time to geek out on Star Wars, but as a recently appointed master and connoisseur of all things paper-flaked related I just had to take this opportunity to give a little shoutout to this website that not only displays the finished product but also gives a diagram of how to achieve such a tremendously dorkly yet epic set of snowflakes to dangle about at your leisure.

Flakes Before Lights

Tonight we attempted to begin the decorating process, but in interest of complicating a simple and enjoyable task we attempted combining redecorating the entire living room at the same time. Not good. Also not good is that only two of strings of lights worked, so we decided to delay the tree lighting until we can get the proper supplies. Instead Laura talked me into making snowflakes. She wants the house to look like Elf. Oh boy.




She tells me this is phase one.

Arts & Crafts Unsupervised

Aye aye aye. It is Thanksgiving. I can't get in the swing of things yet. Even watched 85% of the Macy's parade, ate some zucchini bread and peanut butter celery and even watched the bird prep and I still can't get with the program. What is it about these holidays that I can't convince my body to wake up for? Could be all the arts & crafts i drank last night. Or the ginger brandy. Either way, I hope I'm ready in time for the big show.
