The girls are asleep. Yuula decided she was staying up all night. We had different plans, but she didn't bother to run it by us, whether or not we'd mind. We moved the party downstairs because of all the resources at our disposal. It takes a very specific combination of the right mood music, holding her at just the right positions, at the right intervals, interspersed with strategically placed mini feedings and the ever present twinkle lights. Thank God for the twinkle lights. Tonight, in our first moment of desperation, we turned to a pacifier. They don't call them pacifiers for nothing folks. And while that didn't seal the deal completely, it definitely helped. We'll keep that in a safe place for the next emergency.
So, I've got a good mix of Andrew Hargreaves, Murralin Lane, Haruka Nakamura and Aphex Twin's select ambient works playing, keeping the asleep just that way, but now I'm the one who's wide awake. And this pacifier is too small for me...
