Circus Surprise Circus

(from October 30th)

The day before Halloween I planned to surprise the family with tickets to the circus. I even snuck into Laura's store and sent her this picture to get the night off and running.

Circuses are weird to say the least. We had no idea what to expect.

And this mystery curtain didn't give us any help.

That's some camels and horses running in circles. I didn't get a shot of the dogs riding horses. That was something.

I think the star of the show was this whirlygig that Yuula got. We may have induced some seizures.

And of course, elephants. Taking a break from their harsh treatment to give us a handstand or two. Here's some nuts.

We had a blast.

Jack-No-Lantern

(from October 28th)

We didn't carve a pumpkin this year. I'm still kinda upset about it. But we did at least go buy some pumpkins. All Laura wants are the seeds anyhow.

We gotta carve at least his.

That's Not A Rock Collection

(from October 27th)

We've done a handful of jobs and been into a handful of private residences now. You never know what you're going to see. Honestly, it's an unnecessary view into another person s world, and it usually ain't pretty. Here's one job we did...

A chicken thru a tree. Not so bad, if this is as weird as it gets.

Our mobile office has never been more colorful.

What's this you ask? Why that's a dresser covered in produce stickers and chewed gum. Works in any room of the house.

We did melt their candles tho. Whoops.

Dress Them Up / Let Them Loose

Harmony Korine directs the sequel to Frozen, where Anna joins a coven and Elsa enlists the help of a unicorn to help her train for a soccer match against the Dinosaurs

Kids In Costumes

(from October 26th)

Moms have been getting the kids together for four years now, maybe five. And this year we had a few new additions to the crowd. Seems like the gender war has been evened out some. Congrats Oscar.

A unicorn up to no good.

A decent group shot

Now just the happy boys.

Beneath The Air

Dancing As A Unicorn

(from October 24th)

Halloween started a whole week early at dance class, where 18 Elsas, a witch and a unicorn took allet and then ate sweets.

 Indeed.

 Thug Life.

No one tell her these aren't unicorns.

And we haven't even added the ice cream yet.

Apparently is some source of power for her.

Teeth pulled to 70's game shows

 It got cold quick

Lay some butter chicken on this tongue

Let Them Walk Upon Your Head

This.

Holy crap.

Now I want to see them live. I didn't before. But now I do.

Emergency Puppy Run

(from October 17th)

We brought Susie down to Flemington to pick up her new pup. I think she has named her Dinah, but we're not too sure yet.

She likes Aesop, or at least how his hands taste anyway.

This is how she sat all the way home. So far, good pup.

Slapsie Practice

(from October 15th)

she's gotten a little better since then

Adjustments For Everybody!

(from October 14th)

We got suckered into going to a chiropractor for some free "adjustments".  It felt good, at the time, and they even did the kids. Four years old getting her alignment on. Kids these days.

Even the baby got one!

So Are You Smoking?

favorite late night performance ever?

The Whys Are Unclear

(from October 12th)

I was one of the fortunate to jump on tickets last winter, when all us bleeding heart 90's emo turds heard our white whale would be doing a short stint in the city, tickets went fast as hotcakes, if you take for granted that hotcakes go fast as hell.

For years I was under the impression that I may be one of the only people who have even heard of these guys or had the pleasure to spin their tunes at the end of summer or on a late Sunday afternoon. It was quite the experience to be surrounded by a packed Webster Hall, each person knowing every lyric, every drum fill, every twiddled hook. It's like I had this secret in common with all these other people, an I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

After the encore of course.

No Place For A Fire

(from October 12th)

We tore out our fireplace. Yes we had some good memories, like in front of it on our first Christmas here, and how it kept the bottom of our feet warm during the power outages of Sandy. But it no longer served a purpose, especially after we ripped the chimney out to build the hallway and it just became a giant eyesore in the middle of the house. So now we have an armoire and a coat rack. MUCH better.

I took all the wood from the walls and built a new pantry. I kind of can't believe it looks as half-decent as it does.
