Kids At A Cannon
We finally got up early enough to hit the new farmer's market outside the courthouse before dance class. It was great. Delicious baked goods (we may have finally found a bakery worth it's while), delicious caffeinated beverages at a little unfounded cafe, and even some Amish presence to boot. Hopefully we'll make it back before summer ends. I know Yuula has already worn a path in the green grass in front of the hall so, she'll wanna check up on that.

A True Traditional Saturday
Hell yeah real weekend. And some chilly weather to boot. We've decided that before we start any new projects we are going to try and do a serious clean-up effort, because this place is a disaster. We got trees down all over the yard, leaves left from all the falls, and enough scrap lumber to build ourselves and extra house.
So we got some more.
Yay a lite lunch.
Ten bucks to anyone who can guess what we're building now.

Forwarding Her Rolls
What a silly Saturday.
Started off by rushing out of the house early this morning, family in tow, to get there and back to Staples in time for Laura to leave early for the gym before work, but we needed a new internet hub USB for the PC because I've been without for a couple days and I can't take it anymore so we went and dropped $40 on a big box with a little stick in it and when we got back home I noticed that it was just that the cable had fallen out of the back of the monitor so I wasn't getting a signal so that was annoying but Laura was able to return the thing between the gym and work so that was ... nothing.
The rest of the day was spent organizing the free space, or the lack of, on here, and watching Yuula work on her forward rolls. They're getting pretty good. Maybe she'll do one for you all someday. Then i had to sit thru an entire viewing of Star Trek: Insurrection waiting for Yuula to finish her chicken.
For now, girl's in bed, other girl's on her way home, and I am packing it up, only getting 2/3 thru what I was trying to today. Getting sidetracked by non stamp collector and talking tacos.
It's been a silly Saturday.

Whadya Say, Saturday?
I like this setting
We got a couple inches of snow and three noses full of sniffles. Perfect setting for a Saturday family morning. Cozied up by the fire with oatmeal, tea, and a movie, watched Yuula walk around in big shoes and bury herself in all her stuffed animals.
Unfortunately Laura now has to check in at the HG for the evening before we can have the whole day tomorrow. We should make plans. We won't, but let's say we should. Maybe we'll have more snow and can make snow objects. Maybe we'll sleep in til noon and fritter the day away. Maybe we'll make fritters.
Today I have some house chores, being a good little housewife, and baby to care for. She's getting brave. Climbing stairs, jumping off the couch, eating dirt, fun stuff. And her hair is really starting to take on a life of its own. I commented that this morning she looked like Einstein. And then she burped juice.

Saturday Morn, For A Flash
Saturday morning in bed watching cartoons. Kinda can't beat it. But life called and Laura wanted to head off to the gym before work (third day in a row) and I finally wanted to cook up some steel cut oats for my family's breakfast and Yuula, well she was content watching Jack Hanna in bed with a bottle of milk so...
Let's see what we can do on a Sunday morning then.

This Morning Was Too Short
Saturday morning cartoons in bed. New favorite family activity. Wish it was longer. Can Saturday borrow some of Friday?

Her Sky Is Limited
Yuula just woke up in an exceptionally good mood and I countered with a bold statement.
"Today you can do anything you want!"
And before you accuse me of lying to my daughter know that her list of understood "anything" is quite small. If you don't understand the concept of skydiving you can't very well want to do it today, now can you?
Her list of Anything:
- Yell
- Play
- Roll
- Crawl
- Bounce
- Sleep
- Eat
- Watch Sprout
- Poop
That's it. I think I can handle whatever she comes up with. She won't go from this to rock climbing. That's a big leap.
Eric's on his way here now, so I'm sure he'll come up with some wild new game for her. And I'm sure there'll be photos.

Meeting Weekend Meaning
I had an authentic Saturday today. No work, no errands, no shows, no rehearsals, no travel, no nothing. The snow on the ground kept us indoors so I listened to music, watched some awful alien movie (Skyline) and spent ample quality time making Yuula laugh. Gareth dancing to Dodos is a sure thing. I wish Laura could've been home all day, but we made some delicious seaweed linguini sausage thing for dinner and started season four of Dexter. So far, kinda boring. But John Lithgow is the lurking so.... look forward to that. Tomorrow I plan on having an authentic Sunday so look out.

Tongue Running
Saturday morning. Potentially replacing the Sunday morning. For now it's sour cream donuts dunked in tea for us. It's mother's milk for Yuula. Always is.
Since she found her feet a couple days ago she's invented a game to play with them. She's gives us swift kicks to the face and tries to slip her toes in our mouths. We're usually compliant which just encourages her. We call it tongue running. It's all business to her.
We're still working on the hands.

Extras On Saturday
Saturday. That's right. Get to sleep in. So why did my alarm go off at 3am? And downstairs nonetheless. So not only did I have to wake up, I had to get up too, and tiptoe my stocking feet all the way downstairs, in the dark to shut it off. So I was up. But I managed to nod off to catch a few extra hours, but still, that 3am wakeup is brutal, especially on a day like today.
But save that curse, it's been a pretty weekend-y Saturday. I've had two cups of tea with extra creamer, cereal with extra sugar, and watched a movie, Sideways, with an extra movie which should be over just in time to pick up the Mets game. Paid some bills and then paid some extra bills that aren't even due yet. Oooh that's a dayful right there. Poor Laura had to go in to work today, but she's home early and we'll catch up on some Lost and probably have some baked ziti for dinner.
And then there's Sunday...
