Ready To See It Go

The Fort Wayne Krupps found themselves in the Stroud for New Years.

We got Brad drunk and the Gem & Keystone

 No problem

Yuula loved on her cousin Dylan

 Then she beat their asses

I introduced the boys to fireworks

That's what uncles are for, no?

 Yuula's already a pro

Yuula picked out this pink smoke bomb

 Sparkles

 Making a mess

Decent show this year. Here's to getting away from 2014.

2015, you better make it up to me.

Dunks, Drunks, & Nearly Sunks

Goal for the weekend; catch-up with all the video we shot since our westward road trip. It's slightly unrealistic, but the penalty for failure is literally nothing, so...

Day #1

Such good cousins helping a little girl learn sports.

Believe it or not, none of us had a single drop of alcohol at that festival.

But the random fountain was intoxicating.

Zombie-Prepped Vows

 Wedding Eve.
Rehearsals abound.
As did the rain.
A decision was made and indoors we went.
The soon-to-be-betrothed didn't seem to mind.

Flower girls prep

After a delicious meal at Chicken and The Egg, Laura realized her sudden need for accessories. We hit some mega-girl shop and they went to town. Yuula tried on every pair of sunglasses and 2/3 of the necklaces.

Girls and their pearls

At some point of the day Laura and Yuula went with the girls for mani/pedis. My two years old's life experience has already surpassed my own.

That night we made a last second decision to go see the late showing of World War Z. Laura was brave. So proud. Brad and Kevin joined us. The film ended around 1am, and as we left the theater I shouted "Hey Kevin! You get married today."

Mostly Wet, And Some Monkeys

We realized last night that we haven't even watched any of the video from our vacation last week. There's gotta be about 60 files. I grabbed a few highlights and thru together a little preview... it goes by fast.

We haven't even unpacked our suitcases yet, either.

The Germans Are Known For Their Balloon Expertise

I wish the cat had driven

Yuula got some dunking lessons, on par

dinner provided by Brad & Erin, pork steak, no surprise

we don't see this on our road

Fort Wayne fashion is still in question

Looking on from atop Mount Brad at her puppy balloon creation

She wasn't the only one styling some balloon art

Then we found this...

Dylan got trapped

It was like a party

Good thing we had her bathing suit

Oh, And Baby Nolan Too

Ooh look, a free moment. The first since we've returned from Georgia. Yuula is watched her nightly Wibbly Pig and I'm hiccuping thru three slices of Pizzaro's and a glass of wine. Let me clear the decks so we can move on...

We went down to meet our new nephew and the guy who's dethroning Yuula from her "Youngest Grandkid" crown, Nolan Roy. He already got his own cookies.

We somehow managed to get terribly distracted with things like retro traction devices.

And dragging the kids to horribly overcrowded massive indoor madhouses.

Yuula spent some quality time with the Krupps O'Indiana

And of course we hit the swings down the road

Yuula likes her swings

She and Leanne created a new game. We couldn't figure out the rules enough to put together a decent round.

And of course we met little Nolan. He never even knew we were there.

NYC Troopers, Pt. 3: Midtown

Dinner was had quite late, but I think Ellen's Stardust Cafe may have been one of the highlights of the trip, yes because of all the singing and the good food but also because we allowed ourselves to sit down for awhile.

It was our waitresses last day. She just got a part in Rock of Ages. Congrats Jessie's Girl.

This won't be the last timed I'll ever be serenaded

Times Square was indeed hopping

Yuula was in character heaven

Dylan really dug the Empire State Building and the homeless

Rockefeller is impressive even at 10 at night

Tho none of our cameras were quick enough to prove it, we were in fact on the 10:30 edition of Sportsnite

The Krupps were troopers and proved they were up for any kind of adventure in the city. We didn't get back to the car til 11:30 and finally crossed back into Jersey after midnite. What a day.

NYC Troopers, Pt. 2: Uptown

Next stop was uptown, in the park for a little break from the crowds on the sidewalk

the boys on Rat Rock

Yuula hurling herself down her largest slide yet

we're really coming around to merry-go-rounds

making our way up the west side

giant bubble blowing children

very impressed with the Apple store

have they ever even seen Big?
