Mostly Wet, And Some Monkeys

We realized last night that we haven't even watched any of the video from our vacation last week. There's gotta be about 60 files. I grabbed a few highlights and thru together a little preview... it goes by fast.

We haven't even unpacked our suitcases yet, either.

June's Mayflies Make Erie Eerie

As the sun sets on our little roadtrip here, we look to Lake Erie for a nice relaxing day of floats and bobbles. After a brief yet effective visit to Great Grandpa Krupp to see how he is bouncing back after his hip surgery (the man is a machine) we arrived at the lake house and was neck deep in a matter of minutes. Neck deep in water and mayflies that is. But this is a roadtrip, an adventure, and that wasn't gonna stop us.

After this, I passed out, til about, well, now. Yuula and Laura are asleep in their own beds. We head home tomorrow morning, bright and early, and still have the weekend to look forward to. Birthdays and Father's Days and CSA'a and maybe we will just relax at some point. Maybe.

All Ye Krupps Gather

The main focus of the trip out West was the massive gathering of Krupps that happened one afternoon by the lake. I am proud of myself, I could name most of them and trace back to which aunt/uncle they came from. My side of the family is not this confusing.

Here's Dave's contribution to the family tree, with Grandma & Grandpa up top. Not bad.

The ride to Indiana also heeded the mystery of the floating toll ticket.

Learning Ways Of The Water

Hey girl! You ready for your first swim in something bigger than your kiddie pool!?

Wetness That Was To Ensue

We got to the lake a little earlier than the rest of the family so we unpacked at the house and headed down to the the water to get a sneak preview of the wetness that was to ensue throughout the weekend. We had a feeling Yuula would love the water so, we ot her feet wet...

Floating Around The Day

I'm fully burnt. Nice short day at the lake. Woke up late, ate breakfast slow and floated away the rest of the afternoon. Met Laura's cousin Carrie's new baby Rebecca. Tomorrow is back to the lake for the Krupps reunion. Plan on a lot of floating, just with more sunscreen.

Early Bird Gets The Free Zucchini

First ones here so we chose a room, unpacked and headed out to the lake for sunset. Yuula is part fish. She would've swam to Canada if we let her, and if she could swim. On the way out we saw uncle Terry and aunt Kathy so we stopped for a beer and a little meet and greet. And some free zucchini.

Port Clinton, Our Favoritest Port

We took a trip to Ohio last weekend with the Krupps, mainly to celebrate the eldest Krupps 60th wedding anniversary, but first we holed up in a trailer owned by uncle Terry & aunt Kathy for a little R&R at Lake Erie. It was a touch overcast that day, but the water was warm and we must've gone out a good mile or so, could barely see the shore. I liked it so much I brought some of the lake home with me, in my ear.
