4 Seconds A Day: August 2014

it's gonna get more boring from here, maybe

The Last Few Days Of August

Space boots can be romantic

He just wants to be upright

Where the wind blew us

He does and he will

She cheats at staring contests

Honk!

 Mwah!

Don't look behind you

What Did That Pig Do To You?

Healthy And As A Horse

(from August 26th)

Aesop had his 6 month checkup. We split the difference and snuck in shots for both of them. It did not go well, but everyone is healthy as hell.

When can he start mowing the lawn?

This Boogie Is For Real

nothing more for me to do

Some Good Eatin's

I don't know what's going one lately, but I have come to the table for some unexpectedly delicious meals. Random breakfast heaven and surprise delightful dinners. I must've done something right.

Maybe we can open a restaurant. One small business at a time, eh.

Heavier Than The Heat Injector

Press And Strum, Press And Strum

Yuula has kind of taken to the autoharp, one of our awesome finds from Columbus last week. I'm teaching her a song. It's a good one.

The thing was meant for Laura to learn. She's got a 60's folk star inside her.

Aesop is still sticking to his raspberries.

No Simpler Set Of Desires

(from August 20th)

This was one Yuula's real birthday. All she wanted to do was swing high and eat pizza. Brithday girls gets what birthday girl wants. I can't think of a simpler set of desires.

Four is quirky.

But four is still Mommy's girl.

These kids gave Yuula a show for her birthday gift.

But her brother gave her his first crawl.

And Mommy baked her a pie.

I just documented the whole thing.

The Party Stache

(from August 17th)

This here is birthday party girl. She decided to go business casual for her guests. The party worked out alright. For some reason I never come away with many photos, entertaining and all, and trying to polish off a case of Yuengling all on my own. But there did seem to be a weird unintentional theme taking place that may not be typical to a four year old's birthday party.

And finally, for the first time, the kids were old enough to be awake when the movie started. Shut it down folks.

I'll Toad Your Hole

(from August 16th)

this may never be resolved

Delicious Genderosity

(from August 16th)

That's my old friend Donald. He wrote and performed a show in NYC in August. We bought tickets because we will find every excuse to spend a night in the city.

That's Elvis. I didn't know him.

We got in to the city a little late and had little time to eat dinner before curtain. About 30 minutes to order, eat and dash a few blocks to the theater. MasalaWala was the answer. Holy crap I don't know that I've ever had more exotic tasting food. Look at that cauliflower.

Being short on time did not keep us from downing an entire bottle of wine either.

Eight More Days In August

Feeding Lucy

Just naked in the yard while it's still warm

She really is asleep

Monkey on her back

This is the one time we brushed her hair in August

There's been love, high school style

Monkey went from her back to her hip

This is actually her bliss
