Five Years, Every Day

Hi.

Today marks five years of us taking photos every day. Every single day, no matter how dull or uneventful, we found something to put on record and now we've hit a landmark: five years. Good for us. Is that a record? Probably not. I assume that if it's your job to take photos you may be in the same boat, so, big whoop.

Here is us on January 8th, 2007
(86) a good year so far

And us on January 8th 2012

And most of the in between you've seen. But we celebrated with a sit down taco dinner. Yuula's first taco, and she ate it all on her own with no unraveling.

All In Her Days Off

Pretty awesome taco huh? Well, as always, Laura's day off went way too fast. She got on a spring cleaning kick at 5am even tho the trees still look like frosted mini wheats. She bought a sewing machine. We better get some new drapes. I got a box of pants that need mending that I've been holding onto for years. Maybe I'll get that out. I listened to new albums by the Strokes, Timber Timber and Explosions in the Sky. The Mets won 16-3 over the Cardinals. Laura made meals for the next two weeks. Sausage vegetable soup, beef barley and something we call tomoylikash. Yuula ate some oatmeal with gusto. Then we had taco dinner. I think you're caught up.

Tacos In The Drivers Seat

Why is this so satisfying? I feel this may be the reason I got a drivers license at all, why I pay car insurance. For times like this, where I can recline my seat, ignorant to the plight of man and just enjoy a delicious chicken taco, or 4. This is the third time this week I've had tacos. I rather enjoy them. They're the new biscoff.

The One They Won

P1200567

Whoever made stadiums in the shape of a circle never gave thought to how confusing a wave could get when in an infinite shape. This thing must've gone for a solid 20 minutes, without any section being able to figure out how to stop it or where it was coming from. It got ugly.

P1200572

But hey at least they won right? Last game we went to was embarrassing. And this one had potential, considering their opponent, the Arizona Diamondbacks are the worst team in the National League and the Mets had already lost 4 games to them in the past week. So it's not hard to believe we didn't have our hopes up. We were mostly excited about the tacos. And the tacos did not disappoint.

P1200569

The game was exciting tho. Couple lead changes. 7th inning rally to tie it up, and then a bottom of the ninth pinch hit triple by Jesus Feliciano followed by walking, Pagan & Wright and bringing up Beltran to sky one deep to center, tagging Feliciano in with the winning run. Walkoff! Hey that's exciting on it's own. But it was a great game.

Thanks to Rich & Michelle for the tickets. Sorry we showed up a little late and got stuck in traffic, but quality time is quality time, right?
