New More Weird Science
Heard they're remaking this little blast from the past. I gotta say, I don't mind it. I welcome the attmept fo reworking the great John Hughes films. As long as Bill Paxton returns to reprise his Oscar-worthy performance as Chet.
Think they'll ever make their way around to the Breakfast Club and just remove all those curse words from the beginning to make life easier for TBS?

Star Wars UnDirectors Cut
In 2009 some dude asked people to remake Star Wars: A New Hope, using any method or medium they so desired. Then they spliced together the results in 15 second snippets and recreated the whole damn film! I watched the first couple scenes and was highly entertained. I haven't watched the whole thing yet but I figure this is a good place to keep it safe. It's literally Star Wars as you've never seen it before.
I know by posting this I'm proving myself a liar when I try and convince people I'm not an obsessive Star Wars fanboy, but you gotta admit it's pretty damn cool... they're working on Empire now. eeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Still Better Than I Could Do
For some reason it tickles me when people remake album covers. Whether it's with rice bowls or live photography or in this case, with the primitive drawing program MS Paint.

they're always adding more...

Yay For Non-Remakes
This was one of the first movies I ever regretted sneaking out of bed and watching alone in the dark.
Cannot wait to do it again
Actually, who am I kidding? Yes I can/will.

Something Swedish Lives
The Swedish version of this film is one of the best movies I've ever seen. This is the American remake, and it doesn't look too bad.
I know this seems like another part of this new vampire furor, but I assure you it is not.

Subtitles Stonewalled
Some of you may remember, but definitely do not remember, my gushing over that Swedish vampire film about a year ago. And some of you who do not remember will also remember my semi rant about it being Americanized. Well it's happened. And I'm excited but wary, for a couple reasons. It has shortened its name to Let Me In (apparently too many words is konfusing for us Amurekins) and cast relative unknowns to play the leads. That can be good. It's gonna be directed by the Cloverfield guy, which is a movie I loved, but his "monster-attacks-NYC" film with helicopter crashes and machine gun toting militants is a far leap from the subtle nuances found in the original Let The Right One In, a movie carried solely by two young kids who don't do much else besides exchange pleasantries. And there's a few key scenes that were masterfully done first time round and I'm curious to see if he simply recreates them or foolishly tries to "make them better". So you've still got about 4 and a half months to go see the original, because the good ol' US version comes out beginning of October.
