A Miracle, Mets

It would seem, after last nights wins for Philly & Milwaukee, and Mets embarassing loss to the Marlins putting them a game behind in the wild card, the season could very possibly be over for the Mets. They no longer "control their own destiny" as they love to tout in every interview. They have to hope the Cubs feel up to pushing their starters at the end of the season and can take both the next games from the Brewers and that the Mets can magically learn how to play baseball and win both the next two games against the Marlins, cuz Philly ain't losing to the Nationals. They can kiss the division goodbye. Last night's game was embarassing, and I was listening on the radio. An already awful bullpen sunk to a new low, practically giving away 4 runs in one inning thru walks and hitting batters, and mistakes in the outfield, just sad really.

So it's gonna take a miracle at this point. And the Mets can't do anything about it but hope stars align. We should've just ended the season on a good note the other night with Beltran's walkoff. Maybe I will.
