Finding Room To Roll

In the name of science we are setting out this evening to experiment in our sleeping arrangements. For the last eight months we'vee been resigned to the far reaches of our mattress while the baby rolies and polies between us. Tonight we've installed the playpen at the foot of the bed and inserted baby into said playpen which we will hereafter refer to as the sleep cage. It's an experiment remember so the resulting outcome is a mystery until all the data is collected and processed. Goodnight.

Caged Freedom

My mom plopped the child in her playpen, a tool of lifelelss babysitting we don't utitlize nearly enough. She seemed to like it, but I do think it's strange that my mothers definition of "freedom" is locking Yuula in a 2x3 caged pen. Pay attention for highlights such as when the dog rubs his snot nose on the screen and then Yuula mashes her face against it, the un-subtitled babytalk for "Let my people go!", a Mission Impossible reference and some NYPD blue style camerawork towards the end.

Poor Man Pays Twice

That's an old Russian proverb and it couldn't apply to us more. We're on our third vacuum since living in this house in less than as many years. We buy crappy ones that can't handle our degree of refuse therefore breaking them in a variety of ways. Good thing Laura likes vacuum shopping.

And while Mom & Dad were choring around the house today we decided it was a good time to break out the playpen and see how she fared. We dropped a few of her toys in there and cushioned her bum and she was happy as a lark. Looks like we got a new station to work into the daily routine.

george

While we were tidying up I caught wind of the concert for George Harrison streaming online for free today. I dialed up the Google TV and we had it in surround & HD. Now I know why we got this thing. Great show. Yuula likes Ravi Shankar. Go figure. But I forgot how many of George's songs I loved. Gonna have to revisit this some weekend. You can watch it online here for the next 13 hours. Or this may be enough...
