There it is folks. First snow of the season. And I still have leaves on the ground. In all fairness I had more than enough opportunities to get them all up before it snowed this year. I chose not to. Don't let me fool you. Because I'll try. Don't fall for it. I'm just lazy enough that it works every year.

Cold Rakes / Suddenly Humungous

I almost didn't notice all the leaves had finally fallen from the trees today, but now the ground is too frozen to rake them up. Am I the only one who cannot figure this out?

I actually had about 4 hours of peace and quiet today, while the girls went to the store and Laura's doctors appointment. Diagnosis: healthy as a horse. No dice in early leave. And Yuula got some new pajamas because she's suddenly humungous.

Front Versus Back

I am doing my damnedest to clean up this yard, being that the snow gods are holding off a few extra weeks this year. Every little bit makes the thaw that much easier.

Debating Raking

I woke up early to close the windows downstairs. Even in the dark I could see red leaves. This all happens too fast. I wonder if I'll rake this year. Good money would be on no. Let's see if it dries up before it freezes down. I have no control over these things.

Mad To Sad, Doors & Windows

An interesting day to say the least. That's what we get for taking on the man. A lesson unlearnt. But the leaves are changing. They'll change us.



But Yuula has decided that she'd rather sit. It's her position of choice. Up til now all she's had is lying down. The other morning we woke up and she sitting and proud. So now we sit her. But she's terrible at it. Head is still too heavy to be balanced atop a neck that is still too weak. But it is entertaining so... we humor her.



And she had her first play date this week too, in Jersey no less. Her first playdate and interstate travel! This girl is outta control!
