With Yuula at Gma & Gpa's house, we had the evening to ourselves. We filled Aesop full of tranquilizers and took to the backyard where we utilized our 15 foot screen to do, what else...

play Mario Kart.

I won.

Then we watched E.T. Or at least tried to. Laura has never seen it, you see, and it was shaping up to be a wonderfully lovely evening of relaxation and backyard movie theatering when.... that bastard power grid blows. And we got nothing.

E.T. will have to wait another 30 years.

Evenings Become Erratic

 We've had our fair share of late nights the past few weeks, for one reason or another. The concept of "bedtime" hasn't really materialized just yet. After dinner Yuula usually tried to empty whatever she has left in the tank, and takes us on a little journey.

It's Judee's favorite part of the day.

 We had some pretty good rounds of tic tac toe going on here tonight. I mean, yeah, we were letting her win, but she made a few brilliant strategic moves that had us questioning who was playing who here. I'm just still impressed she could handle the circle.

Sundown The Run Down

Another evening walk after dinner. Luckily the rain held off today. Even tho we didn't get much (any) work done in the yard we enjoyed the fresh air all the same and got some exercise. Yuula just wants to run now, and she's fast, so we don't have much choice. I guess it's good. I just fear that she's going to keep getting faster while I continue to slow up.

Just another night, we got a sit down dinner, the 3rd of the year, with a little baby craze and foot rubs. Just another night. Black & white. Nothing special. Love those nights. We should schedule another for tomorrow. Maybe Thursday too. And Wednesday.

Independence Evening Glories

We heard some fireworks going off in the neighborhood and felt left out. I had set aside a box of morning glories from new years two years ago. Not every day you have an excuse to run around the backyard with a firestick.
