Have I Been A Father That Long?

For Father's Day we worked in the yard, planting tomatoes and Japanese maples, mowing the lawn and adding a few pollinators around the yard. It was a quick but effective morning. And Laura got me a croquet set as a gift. Can't wait for some sticky wicket.

There was no need to hold on to this tree. She just wanted to stake a claim.

Went down to Trenton for the dinner of dads. Yuula and Dylan engaged in dinner conversation, probably about American intervention in Syria, or something. It was darling.

And the two had a good old jump in the bounce house.

Then this happened. She's already 16.

Don't Tell Our Gardens We've Been Seeing Other Petals

Little bit of a late start today, due to going 21-7 for two days in a row. Yuula didn't wake up until 10, Chicago time. But when we did get up and going, we got up and got. Chicago Botanical Garden was on the agenda and there's no time wasting for the beauty of a flower petal. What?

Impressive fountain, refreshing mist

I collected precisely 37 new home project ideas

The apple trees were quite lovely, and cause for envy, and applesauce

A highlight was the butterfly house. This guy was putting on a little show for us.

Yuula never seen so many butterflies before and didn't step on a single one

Her favorite part of the day was making a (pretend) salad, go figure.
