If there was an award for the worst wedding footage ever shot, I would win.

The Ride, The Reset, & The Reminder Why
So we drove at sun up...
And at sundown we were still driving. Isn't that always the way. Someday we'll have enough time to stop and enjoy all that route 81 has to offer, in the way of caverns, flea markets and religious epicenters, but for now, no sleep til Acworth.
We did stop briefly to give Yuula her first taste of Waffle House waffles. She ate almost a whole quarter. I can't put it down there like I used to.
Friday Laura had an appointment with the inevitable Dr. Jeff. She needed her shoulder and wrist fixed and a few new allergies tended to. Here is a photo of Jeff "resetting" her allergy to wool with the receptionist/wife's boot. It worked.
Then he hand drew me this little take-home acupuncture map of therapeutic pressure points for homework I guess. I made an appointment for July.
One of our favorite antique shops was on the trail between stops so we hit it up. It is a vast space and we did not have vast amounts of time so it was a hunt on fast forward which is never a good way to do it, but we did manage to find some bowls that matched a set of dishes we bought years ago. Yeah bowls.
Then we made the silly mistake of stopping at Panera for lunch, where apparently a four person table can be taken up by one 20 year-old dressed to the hilt and checking their facebook on their ebook/ipad/applemac. The remainder of the tables were sucked up by groups of older businesspeople in their Friday casuals trying to blend in and look as hip with their blackberries/dells/actualbooks. We finally found a table in the corner where we allowed Yuula to be as loud and obnoxious as she wanted while eating.
Then back to the Krupp house for the festivities would soon commence...

It All Came Back To Me
Laura had an appointment with the infamous Dr. Jeff yesterday to take care of some basic pregnancy issues like weazing, charlie horses, magnesium deficiency and just generally being a tubby butt. Since her Mom wanted to go with her I took the opportunity to drive down to my old stomping grounds. I headed down 41, being almost completely lost til I got to the Big Chicken thanks in part to the rapid expansion and betterment of the strip malls and storefronts. I'm not falling for it Georgia.

Georgia is confusing for consumers
But I did manage to make it down to Windy Hill and travel my old route, tho I was on the phone with Eric Babula half the time trying to come up with scenarios for the murder game that I am completely absent for. They can't live without me.

I've begun to take notice.
I got a quick call back to Doctor Jeff's and then we headed over towards Town Center, the Marietta mecca, because Cheryl had to buy some new perfume. Who knew she was a juicy couture girl. Laura then felt that baby needed some greasy food, so when you're in Atlanta, there's only one place to go. The Varsity.

Mother & daughter alike.

A V can't cover me.
And then because Laura has some sob story about how back in Pennsylvania they run ads on TV for Golden Corral buffet, yet there isn't one for 170 miles around and now that we're so close being down in Georgia we owe it to her.

And what would it be without a group shot outside by the sign?
So far today is about rest, Glee & volcanoes, not in that order. Later on we may get out in the sun, but we're in no hurry.

Back To Better
Going from the crisp clean mountain air of West Virginia to the bleak, dry, smokey, smoggy, polluted air of Atlanta has done a number on my newfound allerigc obsessions. I visited the infamous Dr. Jeffrey Comanor (of the 1974 cult classic Phantom Of The Paradise) this morning, which was amusing as usual. He filled us in on his neverending string of royalty checks that he recieves from joint releases with Jim Croce & his upcoming trip to New Orleans for his birthday where he'll "run on the beach". Weird dude.
He subscribed me some new supplements which brings the grand total of shit I take everyday up to seven. Just a little folic acid in pill form and sanshedan chuanbei ye, a delicious little treat that comes in a cute little bottle. He warned me not to read the ingredients, which, of course, I did. Water, okay; Honey, delicious; Fritillaria Verticallata, uhhh...whatever; Semen Armeniacae Amarae, excuse me? (I found out it's just apricot seeds); Snake Bile, no misconstruing this one. Whatever, as long as it makes me strong like bull.
...and yes the mustache is gone.
