Undecking

Yesterday was Groundhog day so we thought it a good time to take down the Christmas decorations. We thought's take 20 minutes. It took all day. We somehow acquired more stuff, even tho we didn't buy anything, but we had a hell of a time fitting it all back in the totes they came in on. I'm not sure how we accumulated all of these holiday trinkets, but if you're ever in need of some extra Santas or snowmen, you know where to look.

The tree took even longer. We only had about a 7 foot tree, yet we managed to fit 8 strings of lights and probably 300 ornaments on the thing. And the prickly pine needles made it less than fun to undecorate. Maybe we should've watered it more.

I dragged what was left of the tree out back to its final resting place while Laura broke the vacuum trying to suck up all the pine needles left behind.

Good news is that our living room has doubled in size once again. Maybe we'll throw a party for the Super Bowl, if either of us are going to be home.
