Beltran returned last night and almost hit a grand slam that would've put the Mets up 6-4. What a dream that would've been. He did hit a double and have a nice sliding catch in centerfield, but man that grand sala,i would've been sweet. Anyhow, unfortunately a near 4 run homer is the most exciting thing that has happened to this team in months, and I thought worth noting. Also, that "silent sixth" thing was strange. No commentators for a whole inning. I kinda liked it in retrospect, but that's when we tuned in, during the 6th inning, and it was uncomfortable for awhile. Laura tried herr hand at the play-by-play. She's good at calling strikes & balls, but that's about it.
