Tomorrow is our 2 year anniversary, but since she has to leave for Piscataway at 6am, and I will be on a plane to bloody Ohio, we decided to celebrate today. With no plan in mind the best we could come up with was "Let's go buy a pool cover!". So we were off.
There's some interesting shadows coming from a certain hairpin turn along Marshalls Creek that I've been dying to get out and investigate but never have. I thought that may lead to an excited anniversary adventure. Sure enough...
This is where we found a fairly intimidating waterfall.
And some pretty rocky ridges and cliffs to match.
Some further investigation deeper into the wood turned up a man-made pass cut thru one of the mountains and a wooden bridge crossing the river. The exploration continued.
Gorge-jumping
Sun-spotting
Gorge-scaling
Our Waterfall (no one else claimed it)
Afterwards, we were feeling very anniversarily, and happened upon a new antique mall. We're always on the lookout for the perfect hutch. Lots of great stuff here, but we managed to walk out empty handed. Except for 2 sets of glasses. We have the larger ones of the set at home that we bought in Georgia. Weird eh?
Then after an insanely long "conversation" about what to have for lunch, we stopped at the last place before heading home. Ming Garden Chinese food. It took forever but of course was worth it.
Now we're home and planning on spending the rest of our Anniversary Eve lazing about. An no, we never got the pool cover.
