Every Scrap Of Wrap A Map

Yuula "helped" me wrap gifts yesterday. She took a great likening to the scraps of wrapping paper I was tossing aside, using them as full fledged treasure maps that took her on quite the adventure around the dining room. So I lost my tape fairy, but our decision to have Santa get her a pirate scope/headband/eye patch/treasure map for Christmas was verified.

I Am Awesome At Christmas

the past 24 hours I have been in the zone, man. The Christmas zone. The shopping zone, to be more specific. I had done very little up to now, especially for Laura (poor Laura) but just 36 hours later, I have seeked, purchased, and wrapped all my gifts. I am done fools, and with a week to spare.

Yuula and I did a mad rush around Jersey town yesterday with limited to moderate success. This morning I headed out solo and blazed across the Poconos crossed the last items off the list. But I wasn't alone in holiday spirit. I came home to this...

And then guess who got to do the dishes?

But I didn't mind so much when I saw these puppies in the fridge.

Laura headed off to close her store and I put Yuula down for a nap to see if I could get any wrapping done. Turns out I could.

That's everything. Including the two nights we already spent wrapping stuff for Yuula, that may be a new record. I have a couple things comping in the mail that probably won't show up til a day or so before Christmas, if at all, but I can't be blamed for that, can I?

Glistening Once Again

I think we're done decorating inside. Not because we ran out of stuff, but out of ambition. Threw up the chain and snowflakes last night and it'll do. Laura says she wants to do the entire house someday. Good luck with that. We need some elves to help us first.

Then we decided to tackle gifts. This girl is gonna make out pretty well Christmas morning. Good thing we've been Christmas shopping since the summer. We lost track of all the gifts we've been collecting. We probably missed some. Those will be for her birthday I guess. 

 

  And we played with some of it.

We got most of the wrapping done. Little things here and there, and a little bit of shopping to try and do this week. We'll see tho. I think we're pretty set. Now we just have to make cookies and start injecting eggnog directly into our veins.
