Playtime, Indifference & The Letter S

P1250566

When Mother is home from work she plays dress-up. But Mommy has left for the evening so it's time to catch up on her rest, no matter where she ends up.

Super Bowl tomorrow. Going into NJ to my brothers. Maybe my parents. Guess we'll call on the way down to see. As long as there's chip and dip and a cushy cushion I am good to go. And I have abstained about making rude comments about Favre this whole time, but I saw this today and teared up a little.

Back to cataloging. I got thru 'S'. A huge accomplishment. It's all downhill from here.

Lions To Lords

I managed to catalogue a little today. Been back on that horse, in the spare time. It's a slow-goer. But it must be done. I'm on the back side of the letter 'L'.

Other than that, it's been a day to clean up. Laura is home and when she gets the bug, there's no stopping her. We spent the first couple hours of the day finding the floor in the bedroom. I gotta admit, it was a mess. Laura acquired a couple sacks of new baby clothes from a friend and we had to sort thru them, wash them up and place them in their designated areas about the homestead. We tore down the bassinet, the playpen and the cradle, because at this point they had collected more dust than drool, and tomorrow we plan to utilize our various storage options in order to complete the cleansing. We may need them again, so most won't go too far.

At this moment we've got some Indian brewing on the stove, complete with the rice pudding this time, so delicious it smells downright like Bengaluru in here. It's gonna be the first time Yuula has Indian, by way of Laura of course. Wonder how she feels about it...

Moms, The Freak & The Letter J

Happy Mother's Day Moms & Moms-To-Be!

This mom had to work today, hopefully the for the last time. She was in high spirits this morning, but I'm thinking that was because of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I packed her a delicious lunch that weighted about 17 pounds, and it'll probably be gone before noon. Hey, it's Mother's Day. Let them eat.

Mets play their final game with the Giants today. They got their ace, everybody's ace, Tim Lincecum pitching. We got Oliver Perez. Advantage: San Francisco. Big advantage. They call him "the Freak". I don't know that I will watch. It could be ugly. But the Mets have won their last 8 or 9 at CitiField so... maybe they'll be really pushing for it. Protect that home turf. I think if they can at least get a couple runs across they'll have a chance. If the Giants put up 3 or 4, I may switch back the the Law & Order marathon.

Today is also about cataloging some more of the collection. I finished the letter "I" yesterday, but that was an easy 611 folders. "J" is 960. You don't even wanna know about the "M"s. We're talking over 3,000. You have no idea what I'm talking about...

PS - I got the fire going!
